Bodyboards
Here you will find a selection of adult and kids' bodyboards, from your very first foam board to the pro model built for hollow waves. Each range comes at several price points, from beginner boards to high-end shapes. Our team is made up of riders who are in the water all year round on the spots of the Landes coast.
Adult bodyboards: PE, PP or NRG+ foam to match your water and your level
From a simple beach bodyboard to a proper riding board, our range covers the three main families of foam. PE bodyboards are suited to beginners or winter riding. PP models, the most numerous, are built for speed and responsiveness, and NRG+ boards sit in between. Adult bodyboards come in each of these foams, from accessible boards to pro models. To find out which foam, stringer and shape suit your riding, read our page on how to choose a bodyboard before you order.
Beginner, advanced or kids' bodyboards: the right board size for every build
Most of our adult boards come in 41 to 43 inches, with sizes up to 45 inches for heavier riders. The right size depends on your weight, your height and your riding: our bodyboard size guide gives the full chart and a calculator. For younger riders, several boards start at 34 and 36 inches, in PE or EPS, light and easy to carry down to the water. The kids' bodyboard page explains how to adapt the length as they grow, and our guide to getting started in bodyboarding helps with the first waves.
The bodyboard brands chosen by our riders
We work with brands we know from the water. Pride bodyboards are the core of the range, from recycled PE for beginners to Radial Flex PP constructions for committed riding. Stealth bodyboards cover both accessible PE and Kinetic PP, while Hardy Shapes boards offer performance-oriented PP and NRG+ shapes. Versus bodyboards round off the range with fast, precise PP models, alongside Hexaboards, NMD, Morey and Turbo boards. A bodyboard from a specialist brand keeps its flex and shape longer than an entry-level board. Our bodyboard brands page presents each of them and what it specialises in.
Completing your bodyboard set-up before heading out
The equipment we recommend to every rider for their first session:
- short, stiff bodyboard fins, to build speed at take-off;
- a wrist or bicep bodyboard leash, to keep hold of your board in the whitewater;
- a bodyboard bag to protect the slick and rails in transit;
- a bodyboard wetsuit suited to the water temperature.
Bodyboarding FAQs
At what age can you start bodyboarding?
A child who is comfortable in the water can start early, in small waves close to the shore and under supervision. Our first boards start at 34 and 36 inches to stay light and easy to handle.
What bodyboard sizes do you offer?
Our boards range from 34 inches for the youngest riders to 45 inches for heavier builds, and most adult models come in 41 to 43 inches. To find yours, our size chart gives the match by weight and height.
How much does a good bodyboard cost?
The price depends mainly on the foam: a PE board is the most affordable, while a PP or NRG+ model from a specialist brand costs more. A cheap bodyboard is enough for a few summer sessions, whereas a brand-name board will last several seasons.
Do you need fins to bodyboard?
Yes, fins are part of the basic kit. They give you the propulsion to reach the peak and catch the wave before it breaks: choose bodyboard-specific fins, short and stiff. Our guide on how to choose bodyboard fins covers shape, stiffness and size.
