Bodyboard Center: Hey Maxime, could you tell us what's the idea behind 'Chapter'?
Maxime Castillo : We tried to create something different with Antoine (Palm Production - editor's note). The idea was to produce a short-movie related with the real story of our lives - not a classic podcast.
Finally this movie recalls a full chapter of my life. It's been 3 years that I share my life with Teresa Almeida. We travel together on the World Tour events and I get to spend more and more time in Portugal.
Basically this is the idea behind ‘CHAPTER’.
BC+: Sounds great. What are your projects for 2018?
Max : I've been training really hard these first couple of months in France and Portugal. I want to be ready when the APB season starts. I'm going to follow the whole APB Tour and try to better my 16th spot finish from 2017.
I will also follow the ETB (European circuit - editor's note) which starts in two weeks in Costa da Caparica.
Safe to say it will be a busy year for me, but I'll try as hard as I can to keep developing my image through partnerships, videos & trips as well.
BC+ : You're riding your own NMD Pro-Model. Can you explain some of its characteristics?
Max : First, it's been developed especially for European waters. Its NRG+ Core combined with ISS system makes it ideal all year long.
It's now available with the new PFS-3 Quad Concave system as well and it's a true rocket. The fastest board I've ridden so far. So much drive too.
