Last weekend marked the start of the ocean training sessions, a key step for lifeguards. These sessions allow them to validate their physical condition and ocean skills before officially working on the beaches throughout the summer. First water time, intense training, and getting back into rhythm — the season is definitely underway.
As the lifeguard season approaches on beaches, one thing is clear: performance, responsiveness, and reliable equipment are essential.
Whether you're a lifeguard, an experienced rider, or simply passionate about bodyboarding, now is the perfect time to gear up. At Bodyboard Center, you’ll find a wide range of fins among the most used by lifeguards and bodyboarders. Short blade, long blade, different flex options — everyone can find the perfect pair suited to their level, style, and conditions.
Two key models stand out:
DaFin fins are a global reference, especially among lifeguards. Developed in Hawaii with professional watermen, they deliver immediate power and excellent acceleration, making them ideal for rescue situations and heavy conditions. Their design also ensures great comfort, even during intensive use.
Yucca fins stand out for their comfort and precision. Made from natural rubber with an asymmetrical design, they provide smooth and progressive propulsion. Available in different stiffness levels, they are particularly appreciated for long sessions and by demanding riders.

Bodyboarding is a discipline that goes far beyond simple wave riding. With practice, it becomes possible to fully exploit the waves by performing different maneuvers. These moves not only improve style, but also enhance control and wave reading. This complete guide to classic bodyboard maneuvers presents the essential movements to master, from beginner level to more advanced tricks.
Each maneuver is based on common fundamentals: speed, positioning, and timing. Understanding these elements is essential to progress and link maneuvers smoothly. The more a rider masters these basics, the better they can adapt to different wave conditions.
